Sustain a website that is driven by user-generated content.
Solution:
Revenue is brought in by brand and local advertising, while users continue to come back to the website because of the reviews.
Result:
The company generates most of its revenue from these advertising partnership, but the user contributions is what keeps people from continuing to utilize the website. Yelp has seen an impressive year-over-year growth and in order to keep it that way, they have been encouraging users to write thoughtful reviews and check-in, which is motivated through the restaurant’s check-in offers.
